The Austrian Trade Commission Hong Kong, Vienna University of Economics and Business in cooperation with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University would like to invite you to the following afternoon workshop within the framework of “Research meets Practice” sponsored by Advantage Austria of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ) and Eurasia-Pacific Uninet.
Topic: Knowledge Management across Borders: A Chinese/Austrian Perspective
What is it all about ?
In this workshop we seek to firstly present ideas and challenges of Global Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning. You will get an insight into three highlights and current views on
• Knowledge management strategies
• Sharing knowledge resources and integrating capabilities across borders
• Effective use of contemporary information technology to facilitate information sharing
A roundtable discussion will allow us to discuss current strategies of Austrian/European subsidiaries pursued in Hong Kong and China, how key capabilities are shared and protected, how information systems are effectively used and how intercultural differences can be managed.
